What’s Heya ?
The first decentralized OTA platform built on the substrate framework that enables hotels to combine Internet Of Things (IoT) and Blockchain.
Heya bridges real world assets, such as properties and hotel rooms, by tokenizing them into NFTs. Best of all, ownership of a room can be fragmented allowing multiple owners.
Heya combines Blockchain, Web 3.0 and IoT to create a decentralized booking and Real Estate Fractionalization NFT Platform for properties and hotel rooms.
SOLUTION
Decentralized OTA
Hotels upload their desired rooms into Heya's OTA and are charged 5% for every booking, as opposed to the 20-25% charged by traditional OTAs. Customers can pay via cryptocurrency and get rewarded with $HEYA.
NFT Timeshare
Tokenized rooms become NFT Timeshares which represents fragmented ownership. Owners can stake their NFTs which will list the room on Heya's OTA which can then be booked by the public. Owners will also receive $HEYA as a staking reward.
NFT Property
Property owners can tokenize properties and create Property NFTs. Owners can stake their NFT which will list the property on Heya's OTA, which can then be booked by the public (similar to AirBNB). Owners will also receive $HEYA as a staking reward.
Loyalty Program
Heya DAO will launch loyalty programs for customers. Activities in Heya's DApp ecosystem such as booking, reviews, promoting and energy saving will all result in $HEYA rewards.

Pain Points
Pain Points in Real Estate Industry.
High Entry Costs and Exit Costs. The average ticket price to invest in properties are high, especially in the metropolis cities and tourist destinations. For example, it would take a Canadian 10 years the average annual wage to buy a property in their home country. Exit costs are high due to agency and middlemen, not to mention the time and effort required to find a buyer.
REITs are the closest thing to allowing multiple investors to invest in a group of real estates but even they are not a perfect model due to the high entry and exit costs. The financial restrictions and limitations only allow the ultra wealthy access to REIT funds.
Difficult Access to a Global Portfolio. The process of buying foreign property is not a simple process. For example, It is difficult for a US person to buy a property in Hong Kong or Japan, given the local regulations and imposed restrictions, and the local market knowledge.
Liquidity Issues. For traditional property and REIT investments, you can only sell to local markets. Given the size of property investments, it’s not easy to find liquidity. Tokenizing solves the liquidity problem by allowing fractional ownership which lowers the minimum investment and gives more investors access. By being on the blockchain, investors are given the ability to trade on digital exchanges that operate globally 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
Complex Process of Buying Real Estate Overseas. The legal challenges, cross-border transactional rules and costs, the local market knowhow, the engagement of foreign agencies, resulting taxes and maintenance costs, and the forever changing regulations and restrictions all combine to make foreign ownership big challenge for most.
High fees are incurred in the traditional real estate market that cause market inefficiencies. These could be regional taxes, transactional fees, agent fees and many more. These fees most buyers and sellers are used to incurring however these fees also slow down and reduce the likelihood and frequency of transactions due to increased cost.
